Slack integration is the process of connecting external applications, tools, or services to Slack using APIs, webhooks, or apps. It enables seamless communication and automation by allowing systems to send alerts, share data, trigger actions, or enable interactive workflows inside Slack channels. Integrations can range from simple message notifications to fully interactive bots and custom slash commands, improving productivity and collaboration within teams.
STEP 01: Log in to Agentic.botsify.com
After logging in to Agentic.botsify.com, click on the Deploy Agent button.
STEP 02: Open the Integration Modal
After clicking, a modal will open where you need to select the Slack option
STEP 03: Open Slack Integration Basic Information
The Slack integration modal will open, and you need to click on Basic Information, which links to https://api.slack.com/apps.
STEP 04: Redirect to Slack and Create a New App
After being redirected, click on “Create App".
STEP 05: Open App and Select “From Scratch”
After clicking on “Create App,” a modal will open, and select the “From Scratch” option.
STEP 06: Enter App Details and Create App
After selecting “From Scratch,” a modal will open where you need to enter the App Name and select the Workspace, then click the “Create App” button
STEP 07: Copy Basic Information for Slack Integration
After creating the app, it will redirect you to the Basic Information page, where you will find the Client ID, Client Secret, and Signing Secret. Copy these and paste them into the Slack integration modal in Agentic.
STEP 08: Add Redirect URL in Slack OAuth & Permissions
After copying the details, copy the Redirect URL and go to the OAuth & Permissions tab in Slack.
STEP 09: Add Redirect URL and Save
Add the Redirect URL and click on “Save.”
STEP 10: Add Bot Scopes
Scroll the page and add Bot Scopes like chat: write, app_mention: read,
STEP 11: Add User Token Scopes
Additionally, add User Token Scopes, such as chat:write.
STEP 12: Enable Event Subscriptions and Add Request URL
After adding the User Token, go to the Event Subscriptions tab, turn on the “Enable Events” toggle, copy the Request URL from Agentic, add it, and click “Save Changes.
STEP 13: Install the App
After that, go to Install App and click on the “Install App” button
STEP 14: Enable Chat Tab in App Home
After that, go to App Home and check the checkbox for the Chat tab.
STEP 15: Save Settings in Agentic and Launch App
After installing the app, return to Agentic and click on the “Save Settings” button, which will launch the app
STEP 16: Allow App and Redirect to Slack
After launching the app, click on “Allow,” and it will redirect you to Slack.
STEP 17: Test Slack Integration
You can test the Slack integration.
