Segmentation allows you to organize your contacts into different groups, making it easier to manage your audience, filter conversations, and perform actions on specific sets of users.
STEP 01
Open the Audience page.
STEP 02
Select the contacts you want to organize by checking the box next to each user.
Click on the Segments option to view and manage your contact segments.
Assign the selected contacts to the appropriate segment.
You can create segments based on your business needs, such as customers, leads, VIP users, or any other category.
STEP 03
You can also assign contacts to a segment while importing them.
During the import process, choose the segment where the imported contacts should be added.
This is useful when migrating contacts from another platform or importing a large customer database.
STEP 04
Open the Conversations section.
Use the Segment filter to display conversations belonging to a specific group.
Instead of browsing through all conversations, simply select a segment to view only the contacts assigned to it.
STEP 05
Segments can also be used when performing actions that support audience targeting.
For example, when creating a WhatsApp Broadcast, you can select a segment as the target audience.
Only the contacts within the selected segment will receive the broadcast message.
Common Use Cases for Segments
You can use segments for a variety of business scenarios, including:
- Organizing customers into different categories
- Separating leads from existing customers
- Filtering conversations by user group
- Running targeted marketing campaigns
- Sending updates or promotions to specific audiences
- Managing imported contact lists more efficiently
Segmentation helps you keep your audience organized and makes it easier to work with specific groups of contacts. By assigning users to segments, you can quickly filter conversations, manage your customer base more effectively, and target the right audience whenever a feature supports segmentation, such as WhatsApp Broadcasts.
